I recently spent a delightful weekend at Hotel La Riviera in Montecatini Terme, an ideal base for exploring the region's rich history and charm. Just a comfortable stroll of 15 minutes brought me to the town center, while the proximity to the train station was a boon for day trips to Florence and Lucca. The air-conditioned room was a welcome sanctuary from the summer heat, complete with a lovely flat-screen TV and en-suite bathroom-perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploration. What truly stood out was the breakfast; those freshly baked croissants paired with excellent Italian coffee would make any historian's morning bright! The warm hospitality from the family-run hotel added a personal touch that made the stay even more enjoyable. After a day of cycling and sightseeing, unwinding on the terrace with a drink was the cherry on top. All in all, if you're keen to blend relaxation with historical adventures, Hotel La Riviera is a splendid choice!
